Our Exciting Field Trip to Mahabalipuram

Its November already and it is my birthday in another 3 days  ... Excited.

We went on a field trip to Mahabalipuram on Friday, 6th November...It was an awesome exprience...

We started by 6:30 am from school and reached there by 8 am. We had our breakfast at A2B. Went to 7D movie which was about 30 mins plus complementary movie which was about 10 mins so that's a total of 40 mins in the theatre.

Then we visited Govt. College of Sculpture in which the sculptures are made. Then went to Five Rathas & many places. Later we visited the Butterball - One place I loved to visit. Our class climbed all the way to the top and spent an enjoyable hour splashing at the small pond at the top then climbed down. I should say it was an adventure all together... Here are the pics from the field trip.

Our School Science Exhibition - 31 Oct 2015

Another important enjoyable event we looked forward to was Our Science  & Art Exhibition. It was yesterday that we conducted our science exhibition.

Last three days were busy for us, collecting models, arranging things in order, writing charts, pasting & pinning those...

Our project this year was " INTEGRATED ORGANIC FARMING ".

We, the girls of 9th Standard, wanted to make something interesting. So I discussed & asked dad for an idea. He suggested Integrated Organic Farming.

We want that to be something attractive... then flashed the Live Model Concept. We thought of its pros & cons & asked dad whether he could arrange for a help. He said yes & gave us a list of things to buy. Then he arranged a farmer to setup the live model. Mom asked us to collect all the important details about Organic Farming & how to integrate in an effective manner.

We collected all the details including the preparation of Panchagavya, an organic fertilizer, all through the week for writing charts.

The day before our science exhibition, the farmer arranged by dad came to help us set the field & banana farm, in the 10'x10' area given to us in a classroom, where biology exhibition was planned. He setup the field in a pukka manner. Also made a pond with plaster of paris below the poultry.

On the exhibition day, we went a bit early to the school to put fishes in the pond, chicks in the poultry & then we arranged all the by-products in their respective places.

Few pictures of our Integrated Organic Farming ....

Thank you very much Our Madam, Gaithri Miss, Backiyalakshmi Miss & all our Teachers for your   support & letting us do this wonderful project to create awareness among parents & other visitors about the economical way of organic farming, by integrating it.

Abi Aunty's Wedding @ Le Royal Meridien - A Mix of both North & South Indian Wedding

Now setting my mind on rewind mode to a few days before our school Science Exhibition, we went to our Cousin, Abi aunty's wedding at Le Royal Meridien in Chennai, on 18th & 19th October 2015. We attended both, her Sangeet and her Wedding. I dressed in dual contrary costume (ie) North-Indian style for the Sangeet and South-Indian traditional style for the Wedding. The two days were enjoyable...meeting relatives, dancing at sangeet, trying on new shades of nail glitter before the wedding and so on ...

Here the pics from Sangeet and the Wedding.

Well, I have run out of pics to post...so will type another post soon...
