Its Fun Time...

Yep... It's fun time.

We had a real fun this evening in Fatema's House.

I joined Mrittika to Fatema's Birthday Party. Mrittika's Grandmother dropped us at Fatema's House in her car. Amma bought one  book, Over 500 Incredible Facts from Focus Book Shop as a gift for Fatema and also she bought another book for me, Over 500 Fabulous Facts.

In Fatema's House, apart from we girls, only Raghav and Harsh from our class were invited for the party. Her brother Hussain's friends, Relish and few other boys came from our seniors. We played different types of balloon bursting games, one with a chit in a blown balloon and every one has to burst their balloons with a pin and has to search Fatema's name in our chit, the other balloon game is to hold our partner (mine is Vigasini) back to back with our hands entangled and a balloon was placed in the area below the shoulder. We have to press the balloon and have to burst the balloon with all our strength. Another one Kashmir to Pondicherry Game, that was quite interesting and enjoyable.

After our games session, the cake cutting session started exactly by 7 p.m. So many yummy delights were served. Apart from cake, mouth watering samosas, kachodis,  piping hot Maggi noodles, Pastas and desserts were being served. We all had our stomachful.

Fatema gave us return gifts. A Winnie the pooh, diary kind of note books for girls and Ben Ten watches for boys.

Shweta Aunty picked Mrittika and I, from Fatema's House along with Devanshika and dropped us home. Amma came down to thank Shweta Aunty.

While we climb our stairs, Amma told that she was very much worried as it was getting late. Ofcourse, it was late, by around 8.45 p.m., but not too late.

I told her all about that party and  she asked me write down all these party fun to blog.

Fatema's Birthday....

Today is my friend Fatema's Birthday.

She has invited all of our friends for the birthday party this evening at her house. I want to go to the party. But, I am not sure, as Appa is not in station. I have to ask Mrittika. If she goes, let me also join with her. Let me hope for the best.

Planning to gift a book. Yet to buy. Told amma about that. She said she would buy one after sending me to school.

Yeah... Getting late for my school. Have to catch the bus... Bye... See you all soon....

School Instructions....

During my social period, this morning, Vidyalakshmi Mam announced through our inter class mike, on behalf of our Principal Mam, that we should not wear tights to school on colour dress days and small tops (with jeans) or so. We could wear jeans with somewhat bigger tops. Also gave instructions, that one should not give gifts on their birthday to other children and also should not cut cake in the school. If the children, inspite of their warning, bring cakes and gifts, it would be sent back home.

I know that the instructions with regards to the dresses, might be started because of our seniors and super seniors.   I have seen many wearing thin tights with very short hip level tops. Normally, the tights would show off our structure very well. That too with very short tops means, it might have looked awful. That is why Mam has given such a strong instructions. Many could not understand why Mam is telling. But we should lend our ears to listen to what they are saying.

I am very much confused with regards to the instructions on cake. I never cut the cake in school for my Birthday. But this time, amma & appa told me to celebrate my birthday in school, as I asked them to call my friends for a party that evening, as it was my 10th Birthday.

Looking into several issues behind that, Both agreed to give a big cake to the school and asked me to celebrate my birthday with all my friends there at the school. Initially I didn't agree to that and later I gave up and agreed to that. All this happened yesterday and today in the assembly Mam is announcing this instruction. I don't know how am I going to celebrate my 10th Birthday.

Amma told that we have lots of time to think about that and its a mere waste of time to discuss this now. Also she asked me to prepare for my Abacus exam.

She is right in a way... my ultimate aim is to achieve in abacus. See you soon.

Abacus Model Exam....

Today I had my Abacus 3rd Level Model Exam.

Yeah.... I did well. I know I would get a decent score, if not a centum. On my way back, Mom told me that my teacher has showed my score card to her and I have made few mistakes in my Abacus Multiplication. I felt really bad on hearing this. I thought I would secure nice marks. Its high time I realize I have to put more efforts to get centum in this level also, as my earlier two levels.

Back home I practiced few sums. I have to work more time to achieve my target, as my main exam is on Friday, the coming week.

Now I blog this to relax myself from these tiring works.

Happy Wedding Anniversary My Dear Parents...

Today is my Parents 14th Wedding Anniversary.

I woke up early this morning by around 5.45 a.m. Immediately I wished both of them.

I got ready to school early today, as we have planned to have our breakfast at A2B. But mom told me that we go out for dinner and prepared breakfast at home, Chappati with sprouts gravy. Hmmm... It was delicious. Both dad and mom gave me Young Scientist Magazine of this year, 5 books from level two and another 5 books from level three, as a gift for their wedding anniversary. I was very much excited and thanked them.

For Lunch she gave me Veg Pulav. As usual, it was awesome.

Back in the evening she gave me a delicious ragi drink.... nothing could beat its taste and nutritional value. Simply superb.

We went out for dinner. Going out for dinner on important days has been like a ritual these days. Of course enjoy those moments, not because of delicious food, but of being together in a very lighter and elited festive moods. We love to kid each other, talking for hours eating slowly. Wonderful moments to be relished.

On the Whole, we enjoyed this day. I love you both, dear parents.

Evaluation started....

Too busy these days as the evaluation for us has been started this week.

I have to prepare a scrap book for our Social class. Social Teacher Mr. Mohandas sir gave this as our project work. But he didn't give any theme. We have to select our own theme. I have planned the effects of deforestation as the theme for the first page, after discussing with Appa.

For the second page, yet to decide the theme. I thought as I am doing this for Social Science, the theme should also be related to the same social science. I am in search of the relevant theme.

I have too many works in Abacus. Daily practice help me score more.

I have to put in more effort to accomplish myself.

Elango Thatha came yesterday evening and is staying with us now. He has a lecture at the Pondicherry University tomorrow and presiding the Teachers' Day Celebrations at a college here day after tomorrow.

He tells me stories every day with different themes every time. Really Wonderful. I could recall most of his stories.

Yeah... I don't think I could Blog for another one week as I am having evaluation. Anyways let me try my best to post.

       Have a Great day.

Its Teachers' Day...

Today is Teachers' Day.

This Morning, I was late to the school bus and got into the bus when it was about to start from the next stop. In this process, I totally forgot about the Teachers' Day card to be given to Gayathri Miss, immediately on boarding the bus.

In my School, during my interval time and in my lunch time, I gave the Teachers' Day card to Principal Jareena Mam, to Academic Director Leslie Mam and to most of my Teachers. I searched for Anuradha Miss(maths), Flavia Miss, Gayathri Miss althrough the day. But I could not find them. I thought of giving them tomorrow with belated wishes.

Today we don't have any big celebrations at our school. Mam told us that we had enough of our celebrations as Talent Time, during the month of July and August. As lot of pending lessons to be completed, the teachers could not spare their time elaborately in this celebrations, it seems. Therefore, along with Childrens' day, Teachers' day celebrations will be there.

We are planning a play for Children's Day Celebrations. A play of a kind of Treasure Hunt... Searching the secret guardians.

I play as an Australian. I have planned to wear Ice Blue Jeans with a T. Black and white checked overcoat to cover it till my knee, with semi loose hair. Mom told me that a sun glass or a hat would match with that. But I am not keen in that.

Many of my friends are planning to wear Mini skirts and Tights. But for me, I think its apt to wear a jeans. It might look decent and could go well with anybody from any part of the world. I could not tell all these, as my friends would not listen to me. They do what they think. So I simply never utter any words with regards to the dress.

Ganesh Chaturthi...

Its time to know about Ganesh Chaturthi....

I have come across a very old Graceful Picture of Lord Ganesha. Let me share it with you....

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most important festivals of India.

As the name indicates, Ganesh Chaturthi is the Birthday of Lord Ganesha.  It comes in the month of August - September ( Tamil Name is Aavani Maadham), on Chaturthi.

Lord Ganesha is the God of Power and Wisdom.

On the day of the festival, we buy the Clay model of Lord Ganesha from the skilled artisans. Normally the clay models will be of different sizes, from 3/4 ft. to 30 ft.

We place the idol in a raised platform and decorate the Lord with Chandan, Holy Ash & Kumkum. Then we put Crown Flower (Erukkam Poo ) and Bermuda Grass ( Arukam Pul)  Garland & offer variety of fruits, corn (Solam), finger millet (Ragi), Pearl Millet (Kambu) along with the home made delicacies, such as Kozhukkattai ( sweet dumplings), Kheer, Vada.

We normally offer prayers very early by 8 or 8.30 a.m. After our breakfast, we go to Ashram. We stay there for an hour or so. Later we sit outside the Ashram and observe people. By this way one could learn how to behave and how not to.

The whole day we all will be in a festival mood. We stroll in the beach for hours in the evenings, speak about  A to Z in the world. Most of the time I speak a lot and both Amma and Appa listen to me.

This Year I have learnt about the importance of Lord Ganesha. Let me share with you too...    with a picture of the Lord....

Hope this might be useful to some of you.

To add our festive mood, Elango Thatha came to our house this afternoon by around 1.30 p.m. We all had our lunch with him. Spoke to him for a long time. I showed him my science project thesis, Extant and Extinct Marine Reptiles - A Study.  He was vey much impressed by the way it has been presented. Also I showed various assignment works.... He asked me so many questions with regards to the projects I have shown and I answered almost all the questions. He was pretty much impressed and appreciated me. While leaving to Chidambaram, he promised me to comeback to Pondy in three days time.

I have learnt cycling this evening for an hour. Appa was totally exhausted in this process. At the end of the day we are all, inspite of our festive mood, damn tired.

Good night all.
